Our Turf

What a great place Chicagoland is!

We like to say, it’s its own little country. It certainly has the population and the size to be one! Big. Flat. Diverse. Confusing.

So we like to work “our turf” – those areas we’re most familiar with – and choose to refer out anyone seeking help in areas we’re not comfortable with. That would also include other states and countries (being licensed in Illinois, we can refer to real estate agents worldwide).

Just what is Our Turf?

It’s a large C-shaped band of suburban Chicagoland, extending from Kane County in the west, branching north and east up to northwest suburban Cook and Lake Counties, and down and across to Kendall, Will and DuPage Counties to the south and east. That’s a lot of areas! But then, we’ve lived here a long time, and have been doing this a long time. If we don’t feel comfortable helping you in a given area, we’ll tell you. Many wouldn’t.

Since 1997, we’re lived in west suburban St. Charles. From 1980 until 1990, and 1992 until 1997, we lived in northwest suburban Buffalo Grove.

Over the years, we worked in the corporate, legal and financial fields, commuting to places as far afield as Bloomingdale, Buffalo Grove, Chicago (both Downtown and near O’Hare), Deerfield, Des Plaines, Naperville, Northbrook, Park Ridge, and Schaumburg -- as well, of course, as in St. Charles.

Living and working in the so-called Tri-Cities of the Fox Valley (St. Charles, Geneva and Batavia), this little piece of heaven is our “primary turf – as well as localities like Wayne, Campton Hills, Elburn, North Aurora, and South Elgin –and the whole rest of Kane County as far west as Sycamore, north to Algonquin and parts of McHenry County (like Lake in the Hills and Crystal Lake), and south to Sugar Grove and Oswego.

Yes, we know lots of areas of Chicagoland intimately, others very well, some not so much, and many not at all. If we can’t help in your chosen areas, we know who can – but try us first. It’s not just where, but “who” that matters.
